Man sentenced to 14 years in prison for drive-by shooting - LancasterOnline.com News: "Joseph Anthony Hunter IV, 21, of Beaver Street, told Lancaster County Court Judge Dennis Reinaker that he 'let my anger get the best of me.'
Hunter acknowledged that at the time of the shooting in May 2009, he was angry with the victim, Curtis Murphy Jr., over comments allegedly made about Hunter's girlfriend.
City police said Hunter was a passenger in a car that drove through the 500 block of Chester Street when he fired a gun at Murphy, who was standing next to a parked car.
Murphy suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was hospitalized and survived.
On Friday, Hunter pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, conspiracy and illegally possessing a firearm.
Additional charges of attempted homicide and conspiracy to commit attempted homicide were dropped."
