POLICE are investigating a suspicious blaze at a Perth property linked to the Rock Machine outlaw motorcycle gang, which has been feuding with the rival Rebels gang.
Firefighters called to the building in Kardinya in Perth's south at about 12.30am extinguished the blaze, but it caused damage estimated at $60,000.
Police said the suspected arson may not be related to the ongoing feud between the Rock Machine and the Rebels and they were keeping an open mind as investigations continued.
Detective Inspector Dario Bolzonella told reporters the building was used as a gym and meeting place by Rock Machine members.
He said someone had forced entry into the building, used a jerry can to pour accelerants about and set the place on fire.
Tensions between the two gangs rose in March when Rebels chief Nick Martin was shot outside his home in Balcatta in Perth's north.
A Rock Machine member has been charged with attempting to murder him.
There have been a series of tit-for-tat attacks involving the gangs, including an arson attack last week on a southern Perth property owned by a Rebels member and previously used as a tattoo parlour.
