Court docs: Murder victim tortured with machete for hours

judge unsealed court documents late Thursday afternoon that revealed evidence that a murder victim found in the trunk of a burning car in North Spokane County was tortured with a machete for hours before he died.
Taylor Wolf and siblings Breeanna and Justice Sims were originally accused of shooting a 22-year-old Cheney man, stuffing him into the trunk of a vehicle and setting it on fire last week.
The new court documents may open the three suspects to more charges.
The documents stated that the suspects tied up Nikolas Thoreson and tortured him with a machete in a garage of the Knotty Pines Apartments where Wolf was staying.
Documents showed that investigators found a machete with dried blood in the garage and that Thoreson’s injuries were consistent with injuries from a machete.
A room inside the garage where the machete was found was also found  by investigators to have sound proofing on the walls.
Investigators stated in the court documents they do not know the location where Thoreson was shot.
Investigators also found several motorcycles and Hells Angels gear in the garage, according to the documents.  Wolf was known to associate with Hells Angels member Ricky Jenks, who’s in jail now for firearms charges.
Wolf was arrested almost 24 hours after the body was discovered in the burning car.  He was trying to get into a taxi.
Court documents stated Wolf told the taxi driver he wanted to go to Fred Meyer and then the Greyhound Bus Station.
The documents also stated that Wolf’s girlfriend, Thoreson and Wolf all knew each other from working at Job Corps.  Wolf and Thoreson were known to hang out with each other, according to the court documents.
Those same court records showed a friend of Breeanna Sims said Breeanna texted her the night of the murder asking for a ride.  As the friend was giving them a ride, the friend stated that Justice Sims said he stabbed a man with a knife several times and that someone later found a man dead in the trunk of a burning car.  The friend also stated that Justice said he would take the blame for the crime so nothing would happen to his sister.
19-year-old Breeanna Sims and her 28-year-old brother Justice Sims face a host of original charges including first degree murder, arson and kidnapping.  Breeanna also faces a charge for rendering criminal assistance.
Firefighters discovered Thoreson’s burned body in the trunk of his car near Bigelow Gulch and Forker roads April 13th.
Two days later authorities developed probable cause against Breeanna and Justice through tips.  Detectives said they followed Breeanna to an area near where the victim’s car was found.  They also found a handgun and a sawed off shotgun in the area.
Later that night the Spokane Police SWAT team arrested Justice as he was leaving a friend’s apartment in North Spokane.
